The members of the Tonopah city or town council will be closer to the residents and can react more quickly to their requests. Tonopah will receive state shared revenues which do not currently flow into Tonopah. We will be able to plan future growth by adopting regulations for land use.

Our Mission
Helping to give the community of Tonopah an opportunity to vote for the incorporation. Currently the town is unincorporated and does not have any local decision making ability or the ability to control and shape its future. Decisions that affect the Tonopah community are made 50 miles away at the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, Sheriffs Office, Air Quality Department, Planning & Development, and Transportation
Benefits
Municipal Incorporation would empower Tonopah to control any public services such as police, road maintenance, planning and zoning. Planning and zoning is a major concern residents of Tonopah have, especially relating to growth, and also the potential acquisition by other municipalities. Objectives of the new Tonopah council would be to manage growth responsibly by taking control of the community's destiny, yet keep a " rural" like atmosphere, while increasing the quality of life.If we want a say in our future to provide better services, make local decisions, and develop Tonopah in a way that is consitsant with the residents vision while preserving Tonopah's character, charm, and spirit, we must incorporate.
Our History
The Tonopah Incorporation Committee is working towards a fall 2024 election. The committee is working very diligently to put together all the necessary documents, petitions and other information to bring it to a vote of the community.
